About Imprint Education Consulting

Marisa Hughes is a Licensed Educational Psychologist (LEP #3486) and school psychologist with close to 15 years of experience supporting students, families, and school teams. She began her career in the schools in 2011 and continued in school-based roles through 2023, while also building Imprint Education Consulting—launched in 2015—to expand access to high-quality assessment and consultation services.

Before becoming a school psychologist, Marisa spent years in hands-on, direct service roles supporting children and families in real-life settings. Her background includes youth leadership with middle and high school students, in-home behavioral intervention with children with autism, and parent coaching as a family behavioral instructor for families navigating challenging behaviors and new diagnoses. That early work continues to shape her approach today: practical, compassionate, and grounded in the day-to-day realities families and educators face.

Marisa’s work is guided by a simple goal: strengthen the connection between school and home so students—especially those with disabilities—are understood clearly and supported effectively. She helps identify each student’s unique learning needs, builds practical coping skills, and supports a foundation of worthiness, self-respect, and confidence.

For school districts, Marisa is known for pairing strong clinical practice with strong systems. She has developed an evaluation management process that keeps school teams and parents informed at every step, reduces bottlenecks, and supports timely, compliant decision-making. Just as importantly, she focuses on building a true partnership between an outside provider and the school team—creating clear communication rhythms, shared expectations, and a collaborative approach that feels seamless for staff and families.
